The St. Onge Family

There’s something especially meaningful about photographing people you’ve grown up alongside, and this family session with Alex, Ryan, their daughter Eloise, on Grosse Ile, Michigan felt incredibly full circle. We captured these photos at Westcroft Gardens, the same location where Alex and Ryan were married, a wedding I also had the honor of photographing years earlier. Nestled along the Detroit River, Grosse Ile has such a quiet, nostalgic beauty to it, and it made the perfect backdrop for a relaxed family session filled with playful moments, cuddles with Eloise, and walks through the gardens with their pup. Having known Alex and Ryan since elementary school, documenting this stage of their life together felt deeply personal and special. These images capture not only their love for each other, but the life they’ve built together in the place we all once called home.
